Check with seller CAM Programming Engineer
- Location: Da Nang City, vietnam
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CAM Programming Engineer to join our production team. The successful candidate will be responsible for translating engineering designs into precise CNC machine instructions, optimizing machining processes, and ensuring the highest quality of manufactured parts. You will work closely with the design, tooling, and machining departments to improve production efficiency and reduce cycle times.
Key Responsibilities
CNC Programming: Create, test, and optimize complex CAM programs for 3-axis, 4-axis, and 5-axis CNC machines.
Process Optimization: Analyze machining processes to identify opportunities for reducing cycle times, improving tool life, and lowering production costs.
Collaboration: Coordinate with design engineers to review CAD models for manufacturability (DFM) and resolve design-related production issues.
Tooling Selection: Select appropriate cutting tools, fixtures, and workholding devices to ensure safe and efficient machining.
Technical Documentation: Maintain accurate setup sheets, tool lists, and program documentation.
Continuous Improvement: Troubleshoot machine shop floor issues, provide technical support to operators, and implement lean manufacturing best practices.
Requirements & Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical field.
Experience: 3–6+ years of experience in CNC programming and machining, with proficiency in high-precision manufacturing.
Technical Skills:
Expertise in industry-standard CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Siemens NX, Fusion 360, or SolidCAM).
Strong knowledge of G-code/M-code programming and CNC machine controller operation.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
Soft Skills:
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with tight tolerances.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
